About the Pastor
Pastor Adam Sornchai was born and raised on Long Island, NY, in a home shaped by the diverse backgrounds of his parents—his late father from Thailand and his late mother from Iowa. From an early age, he learned the value of embracing different perspectives, listening deeply, and finding common ground—lessons that continue to guide his ministry today.
He earned a BA and MA in Theology from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY, attended Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA, and completed a Doctor of Ministry at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, Delaware, OH. Ordained and installed as pastor of St. John on June 24, 2011, Pastor Sornchai has since focused on nurturing a community where faith is lived, questions are welcomed, and every person is invited into God’s grace. He and his wife, Jessica, married in 2012. Together, they are raising four children in central Ohio, finding joy in the everyday moments of family life. |
