Confirmation 

Our Confirmation Ministry is a process of faith formation for baptized youth and adults as a sign of their participation in the life of the church.  

Formation is centered on the Bible and Martin Luther's Small Catechism 

16th Century reformer Martin Luther sought to get the heart of the Christian message into the hands of all people.  Luther's Small Catechism contains the basics of the Christian faith that include the Ten Commandments, The Apostle's Creed, The Lord's Prayer, The Sacrament of Holy Baptism, Confession, and The Sacrament of Holy Communion.  Luther's Small Catechism and his explanation are not just facts that we learn, but is an invitation to reflect on our lives and how the way of Jesus Christ guides our life as we pray, and embody the teachings of the church.  

Discipleship 

"Do you intend to continue in the covenant God made with you in holy baptism:  to live among God's faithful people, to hear the word of God and share in the Lord's supper, to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, to serve all people, following the example of Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth? Our Confirmation process invites individuals into a deeper understanding of Christian discipleship.  This process does not end when one is Confirmed.  In fact, it is the beginning to another leg of their baptismal journey.
