CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. – 2 Corinthians 9:11
God has a mission and God’s mission has a church. This mission includes you, and it includes St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall). Since 1836 this congregation has answered the call to carry out God’s mission in this part of the world. In these trying times we continue to find ways to gather as church and for our community to know the love of Jesus through our ministry.
We have been blessed with pledges and gifts that helped to make our building project a reality. Those three year pledges come to an end this year. Members are invited to renew their pledge or if you have not had the opportunity to do so I ask you to prayerfully consider making a pledge or one time gift to our capital campaign.
Our Stewardship Campaign for this year, Gratitude the Heart of Stewardship is also asking you to consider a commitment to our overall Ministry Impact Budget through the Current Fund. Our Ministries: Word and Sacrament, Education and Faith Formation, Evangelism and Outreach are made possible through your Current Fund Giving.
I understand that circumstances in our lives change. Whether you can increase, maintain, or give a different amount know that every gift helps. As a church this campaign invites us to come together once again as a community united behind a common cause. That cause is always about sharing the love of Jesus, and our project and ministries are ways in which we concretely carry this out.
In Christ,
Pastor Adam Sornchai
