Bread for All People is the Social Outreach Ministry of St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall). This ministry enables us to "share the love of Jesus" with others in word and deed.
How does Bread for All People carry out its vision?
Carryout Meals of ham & cheese sandwiches, applesauce and homemade cinnamon-raisin bread distributed in brown paper bags have been the staple of Bread for All People. When distributed, one meal is received for each family member served through the Cardington Community Food Pantry.
Seven for Seven Snack Packs are gallon-sized plastic zip top bags filled with a variety of 7 snacks distributed during the summer months to children being fed God’s word on the Sonshine Express bus of Gilead Friends Church. Children come on the bus to sing Bible Songs, hear Bible stories, receive a sack lunch, and are given a 7 for 7 Snack Pack.
Subway Subs Give-a-way: Bread for All People works with the local Subway store to give a free 12-inch sub sandwich to every person visiting in a two-hour time frame.
Soup and Baking Mixes in quart-sized containers are prepared and given during the Holiday Season at the Food Pantry.
Community Cooking Classes like "Rock the Crock" and "Souper-Bowl."
Prayer requests are taken at every feeding. Prayer Chaplains build relationships sharing time with all people being served and serving. The Holy Spirit breathes life into every new relationship.
